The Pelvic Toner is the world's best vaginal exerciser and is guaranteed to improve your muscle tone. As featured on This Morning and in The Times Body & Soul the Pelvic Toner is a great way to restore pelvic health and combat bladder weakness, especially after childbirth.
The PelvicToner programme uses traditional Kegel exercises and takes just 5 to 10 minutes each day. It is suitable for women of all ages, and is a simple way to ensure that the squeeze and release exercises are done effectively. The Pelvic Toner is a progressive resistance exerciser which means as your pelvic floor muscles improves in strength and tone you can increase the resistance to make it harder to squeeze to achieve even better results. Good Housekeeping May 2007 From Passion8.com Good Housekeeping May 2007
"I found the Pelvic Toner, which you use internally to strengthen your muscles. I started to feel the benefits after about a week, and realised how connected those muscles are - not only to your bladder but also to sexual sensation."
See how this couple got back in the lovemaking groove with The Pelvic Toner in the Good Housekeeping Article, We Dont Make Love Anymore.

How the Pelvic Toner works

The PelvicToner comes with a comprehensive instruction booklet which you should read completely before using the device. The PelvicToner comes ready to use, but we recommend that you start with the lowest amount of resistance.

First make sure you lubricate the PelvicToner from the tip to the ridge, and the vaginal area. We recommend a water soluble product such as Eden Silk Pubricant or Eden Bliss Silicone Lubricant. The depth of penetration is around 10cm (4"). The tip is just 3cm across and this represents the maximum 'stretch' that you will experience. All women should find the use of the PelvicToner perfectly comfortable.

Lay down on your back with your head resting on at least one pillow, relax and bend your knees keeping your feet flat about two feet apart, position the PelvicToner with the 'front' adjacent to the vagina. Hold the PelvicToner closed with your hand and insert the unit into your vaginal opening up to the first ridge and slowly release your grip. You are now ready to begin.

Getting started

We suggest that you start with, say, 3 sets of 30 repetitions (known as "reps") or a total of 90 reps or 90 closings and work up to 6 sets of 30 reps or a total of 180 reps or 180 closings with a rest of 15 seconds in between sets. This can be done every day, but not less than three times a week.

If you find it difficult to close the PelvicToner even with just one spring then you can help the closing movement by squeezing the PelvicToner closed with your fingers.

When you feel that you can do your reps with ease you are ready for your second spring. In order to improve your muscle tone and increase blood supply to your vaginal muscles it is the number of repetitions that you perform that is important. When you can comfortably squeeze your PelvicToner with one spring in each position then you can maximise the benefits by doing more and more squeezes (for example, 3 lots of 50 repetitions) or by squeezing and holding the PelvicToner closed for, say, 10 seconds.

When you have completed your exercise routine simply remove your PelvicToner. Do not try to force it out. Hold the PelvicToner closed with your hand and take a few minutes and relax. Take several deep breaths until your vaginal muscles relax and the PelvicToner can be removed easily.

Stronger and replacement springs

Some women want to develop much stronger vaginal muscles than others. The basic weight lifting principles apply - repetition builds muscle tone and definition, weight (or force) builds strength.

When you feel your vaginal muscles have become too strong for the first set of springs you can buy a special set of stronger springs, code number 7003. To squeeze these strong springs will require more than double the force of the normal springs and therefore significantly increase the benefit of the PelvicToner for those who want to increase their vaginal muscle strength.

How to clean your PelvicToner

We recommend you use HiGenie Anti Bacterial Cleanser before and after use. Should you wish to sterilise your pelvic toner it is also dishwasher safe and the springs are stainless steel and should not rust or corrode.

FAQ's

Will the Pelvic Toner work for me?
Yes, it will work for any women with the desire to strengthen and tone the pelvic floor muscles. In fact we guarantee that you will notice an improvement in your muscle tone if you follow the instructions and exercise regularly for three months. Healthy, well-toned pelvic floor muscles will result in increased vaginal health and help to stop the unwanted flow of urine. You may also notice that your sexual enjoyment increases because exercising muscles improves the blood flow to the area which may intensify your orgasms and you and your partner will also notice the improvement in your vaginal embrace.

How will I know if it is working?
As you follow the exercise suggestions, you will begin to see the increased number of vaginal contractions you can perform and you'll need to increase the resistance by adding the second spring. As this occurs, stress incontinence improves as well as vaginal control.

How long do I need to use the Pelvic Toner?
All muscles in the body will get weak, soft and loose without exercise. So make a commitment use your Pelvic Toner for rest of your life. Make the right decision.

Should I worry about soreness?
The Pelvic Toner may produce some soreness or a slightly uncomfortable feeling, but no more than exercising any other body part. If it hurts stop and allow the muscles to recuperate.

What happens if I stop using the Pelvic Toner?
As with any muscle that is not used, atrophy will occur. The breakdown that takes place within the muscle tissue will be gradual. Many women who have discontinued use of the Pelvic Toner have experienced loss of the vaginal tone and control they achieved and the return of stress incontinence.

Who should not use the Pelvic Toner?
Any woman who is or may be pregnant should not use this product. Any women who is postpartum, prone to genito-urinary tract infections or who has had prior genito-urinary tract surgery should consult their physician prior to using the Pelvic Toner.

Isn't the Pelvic Toner basically a pleasurable toy for women?
NO, however; during the course of the exercise people do experience pleasure that is only a bonus to the real benefits of healthy pelvic muscles.

Sex with Dr Thomas Stuttaford and Suzi Godson From Passion8.com Sex with Dr Thomas Stuttaford and Suzi Godson
Q After giving birth to three children my vagina has lost its muscle tone. My partner finds it difficult to reach orgasm inside me and I feel that I should do something about it before our sex life deteriorates any further.
Suzi Godson is a sex writer and columnist. She says:
If my own experience is anything to go by, pregnancy involves a constant stream of badgering about Dr Arnold Kegel and his pelvic-floor exercises (the rhythmic clenching and unclenching of the pubococcygeal, PC, muscles). I recall bright-eyed and bushy-tailed midwives encouraging me to "do them while I was waiting for the bus", and junior doctors who looked too young to have ventured beyond tonsil-hockey earnestly stressing the importance of staying "honeymoon fresh". And the only time I ever saw a gynaecologist, I was warned that in nine months’ time I would push out both my baby and my sex life if I didn’t "Kegel" 50 times a day.
It was great advice and I’ve no doubt that the exercises work but, well, we’re not very good at preventive measures are we? I mean, if we were, the birth rate would go right down, wouldn’t it? And none of us would ever need to go on a diet, or pay a parking fine, or take a hangover cure.
Despite being fully informed as to what is good or right, we still tend to do what we want. And a pregnant woman with two screaming toddlers doesn’t generally "want" to stand at a bus stop trying to squeeze a lemon with her genitals. Besides which, by the time she feels her pelvic muscles giving up the ghost she has vowed never to have sex again anyway. Sick and tired of being preached to by medics, midwives and mothers-in-law, she gives Dr Kegel the intellectual finger and eats another cream bun.
It is only when her brain cells have resumed normal function and her shell-shocked body has had a full night’s sleep that her dormant libido begins to yawn and stretch and flex its wasted muscle. At that point Dr Kegel laughs in his grave and says "I told you so", while she scribbles a message to "PC" on a Post-it Note and sticks it on the fridge beside the diet plan and the penalty notice for the unpaid parking fines.
One month of clench and release 50 times a day should make a real difference. You should get your husband to do them, too, because as men age their testosterone level shrivels and so does everything else.
If you don’t feel any improvement, you might want to invest in a Pelvic Toner. It looks like a cross between a vibrator and a set of curling tongs and the idea is that you slather it with lubricant, insert it and squeeze your PC muscles to bring the two sides together. Alternatively, you could try Betty Dodson’s Vaginal Barbell or Pelvicisor. Dodson is a renowned sexologist and her stainless steel barbell is apparently "sturdy enough to become a family heirloom that can be passed down from grandmother to granddaughter". The mind boggles. The barbell is 6in long, natch, weighs nearly 1lb (0.45kg) and is inserted into the vagina so that you can bench- press your PC muscles around it.
If home helps don’t work, you should talk to your GP. He or she may suggest options such as "neuromuscular electrical stimulation" (probe, electric current, vagina, muscle contraction like the Femetone) or "magnetic field treatment" (chair, magnets, vagina, your guess is as good as mine). As a last resort, you could always buy yourself a "designer vagina". It’s an expensive and painful option that is likely to put you off sex for years. Which makes it a bit like childbirth really.
Over to you.

Daily Mail Saturday 21st September 2002 - How to Bring back that loving feeling....
And what the Daily Mails own tester said about our Pelvic Toner:
Michelle Hill 29, an Administrator from Coventry, experienced a lack of sensation during sex after giving birth. " After my second son was born, I didn't experience the same feeling during sex as I did before. My stressful job and looking after two small children didn't help me feel sexy I've now tried a device called the Pelvic Toner. It's a plastic thing with springs you insert into your vagina and use to flex and contract your pelvic muscles. I used it for ten minutes a day and noticed a difference within two weeks for the past six weeks I've also tried a Wild Mexican Yam supplement and now my orgasms are much more frequent and intense than they've ever been."
